The announcement page
This is the first public page for the event. It introduces the run, the cause and the three distances, and counts down to race day. It is built and tested. Scroll inside each frame to see the whole page.
What we need from you
These are the only things holding the page back. One consolidated reply from your nominated contact is the quickest way to clear them.
To publish the announcement page 6 items
- Race day
The brief says Saturday 6 December 2026, but 6 December 2026 falls on a Sunday. Please confirm the correct day and date. Until then, the page shows the date without a weekday.
- Venue name
The brief says “Raila Amolo International Stadium”. The event artwork says “Raila Odinga International Stadium”. Which is correct?
- Logo source file
The logo in AI, EPS or SVG format. We need it for the website, and it is also what printers, embroiderers and sponsors will ask for.
- Contact details
The official email address for public enquiries, plus the event’s social media links.
- Patron’s title
How Mama Ida Odinga’s name and title should appear on the site.
- Web address
The confirmed domain, set up in your organisation’s account, with us given access to manage it.
Before the page collects any sign-ups 3 items
- Data controller
Written confirmation of which organisation, the Foundation or One Touch, is responsible for runners’ personal data under the Kenya Data Protection Act.
- Data processing agreement
A signed agreement covering how we handle that data on your behalf. We will send a draft for your review.
- Privacy notice and terms
Text from your legal counsel. We will build the pages as soon as it arrives.
To plan registration 1 question
- Timing and registration partner
Has a chip-timing company been appointed? Timing companies usually supply the registration and entry system too, so registration on the website will be built around theirs.
How the website is being delivered
The site is being delivered in stages, so the event has a public presence now while the remaining decisions are made.

Built in from the start
The page is very small (about 2.5 KB compressed, before fonts) and served from a global network, so it holds up when the announcement goes out and traffic spikes.
The page collects nothing from visitors until the data agreements above are in place.
Text colours meet WCAG AA contrast. The page is built for keyboard and screen-reader use.
Event details are marked up so search engines can show the date and venue correctly once they are confirmed.
